Bear Creek Nature Park, 740 W. Snell Road, Oakland Township, MI
With the incredibly fun of summer behind us, it's time to buckle down and get back to school! Humans aren't the only species on Earth getting back to the grind as some of our favorite tree-dwelling friends are hard at work too! Squirrels are busy as ever this time of year, gathering food for winter and frantically hiding it about our lawns, parks, and backyards! Join us at Bear Creek Nature Park as we sit at our own picnic tables and learn a little about what these busy creatures are after. We will read a story all about squirrels, see their food up close, and put together a squirrel feeder to take home. Afterwards we will head out on the trails to try and spot these quick little rodents with our own eyes!
