Nature gives us so much, sometimes it’s great to give back! Donating your time to Dinosaur Hill can be a fun and rewarding experience. Whether you are an individual, a group, or part of a service project we have various projects that we need help to complete.

We work hard to match out volunteers with projects and activities that are of interest to them and meet there skills. Whether you are looking for community service for graduation, a working adult looking to spend time giving back to your community, a retired teacher looking to share your love of the outdoors with groups of visiting school children, or anywhere in between we're sure to find something that will make your time at Dinosaur Hill a rewarding experience.

Come be a part of Dinosaur Hills journey of being a natural escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life!

Assistant Naturalist

'Assistant naturalist' is a paid volunteer program. We service Rochester Community schools k-3rd grade, and other schools and day cares in our area. We also do outreach and Birthday parties that need instructors. We are very flexible, so if you only want to work certain days we can work with you. We usually need assistant naturalists Tuesday through Friday, 9:30am- 2pm during the school year, and to a lesser extent during the summer. You will need to observe a class before you can help teach it for the most part but it's up to you if you want to observe multiple times until you are comfortable. Our programs are usually nature based. For instance animal habitats, animal adaptations and plant life cycles but we also have a few social studies based programs like The People of the 3 Fires (Native American) and Pioneer Survival.  For more information about Assistant Naturalist openings, contact Sharon - Sharon@dinosaurhill.org
