A Dinosaur Hill Stream Dipping Adventure (5 kids max)
For entering grades 2nd-5th
$5 nonmembers/ $3 members
With the summer heat bearing down on us we find there is no better escape than the cool waters of the Paint Creek that runs through our preserve. Although from the surface the water looks calm, there is a whole world below the surface just waiting to be discovered. Join a Dinosaur Hill naturalist as we take to the creek with our own dipping nets and critter carriers to discover what insects, crustaceans, and minnows we can find. Participants must bring their own water shoes and towels as we will be unable to lend any out for this program.
There will be no access to Dinosaur Hill’s nature center, so participants are also encouraged to bring their own bug spray, water bottle and be extra sure to use the bathroom before leaving for this event. There will be no sharing of any equipment. Due to our inability to use the nature center we will have to cancel this event should we face inclement weather, thank you for understanding. No restroom facilities available so please remember to use the restrooms before leaving home.
Non-Members: $5 per child
Members: $3 per child
