A Dinosaur Hill Bug Hunt (5 kids max)
For entering grades 1st-3rd
There’s nothing quite like getting out of the house, venturing deep into the woods with a bug box and sweeping net and flipping over logs to discover the creepiest, crawliest part of nature! Join us for a safe and exciting adventure through dinosaur hill as we try to collect as many examples of beetles, ants, worms, grubs, butterflies and more. Each child will be given their own bug box and sweeping net, with no sharing of equipment as well as their own quadrants of the woods to search. Afterwards, we will take turns looking at one-another's collection before putting together a craft at our own spaces outside.
Participants are encouraged to wear a mask during this program.
There will be no access to Dinosaur Hill’s nature center, so participants are also encouraged to bring their own bug spray, water bottle and be extra sure to use the bathroom before leaving home for this event.
All crafting supplies will be organized specifically for your child, with no sharing of any equipment. Due to our inability to use the nature center we will have to cancel this event should we face inclement weather, thank you for understanding.
Non-Members: $5 per child
