Thank you everyone for coming out to the 2019 Halloween Hoot! We are humbled every year by the outpouring of attendance and support for this community event. We hope that everyone that attended had a great time and we look forward to seeing you in 2020!
The annual event raises money for Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve and directly assists with educational programming about nature and the environment. While you were partaking in the family friendly fun of Halloween Hoot you were also helping a great cause!
Halloween Hoot, What?
An annual fundraiser hosted by Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, Halloween Hoot is a light-hearted family friendly Halloween experience for you and your family to enjoy in a safe, all-in-one, environment. Discover Dinosaur Hill like you've never seen it before with guided forest walks with funny and interactive skits along the way, crafts, candy (duh!), a mini-carnival, and a cozy campfire with cider and doughnuts!
You, and your family, start the night off creating silly kid friendly lanterns inside the nature center to take with you on your guided forest walk. As you venture into the woods you will come across various skits, games, and interactive stories put on by local theater groups, volunteers, and the staff of Dinosaur Hill.
Emerging from the woods you and your family will be greeted by a fa-boo-lous Halloween Carnival filled with games and prizes! It wouldn't be Halloween, or fall, if you didn't end the night with a cozy campfire while enjoying your cider and doughnut.
Create memories with your family that will last a lifetime, all in one convenient and affordable location. Discover what the popular Rochester Tradition is all about!
Funds raised through Halloween Hoot support Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve and it's outdoor and environmental education programs.
